My host won’t power up

Introduction

The Pixie-16 system is complex. It requires the module, crate, and host computer all work together via the PCI bus. A failure in any component may present by the host not powering on because the BIOS will recognize an error on the PCI bus. This document details the set of steps you should take when debugging such an issue.

Verify that the Host is operational

This step determines if the problem lies with the host itself. Start by removing the cable connecting the host to the crate. Now attempt to power on the host. Unplug the crate from the host and attempt to power on the host.
